Decoration of Church Exterior

Long overdue, but at last the exterior of the church has been redecorated. So now along with our newly refurbished and decorated Church Hall Christ Church has definitely moved 'up market'.

On October 9th the decorators Barry and Paul Ratcliffe moved on site to begin the work. The following Monday a 'Cherry Picker' - probably known as a Hoist to most people - moved on site to enable the decorators to reach the top of the church tower and the fascia boards and sofits. The down spouts have  also been painted. The photographs below were taken by Father Paul who you can see could not resist a 'view from the top'!! The picture of Father Paul and the work in hand were kindly supplied by the decorators.

The positioning of the Cherry Picker necessitated the temporary blocking of the exit from the car park which inevitably created a little inconvenience for the short time that it was there.

The work completed all should now be well for a number of years.
