Seniors Party 2016

On the afternoon of Saturday 6th February Christ Church held it's annual Seniors Party. Preparations started early in morning with a team of willing volunteer 'chefs' led by Christine Bodley preparing Canapés, vegetables and sweets etc. Whilst in the hall another team were arranging the tables, laying out the cutlery, glasses and serviettes.

By 2.00 pm all was ready to welcome sixty seniors who had placed their names on list in the previous weeks. The afternoon commenced with a single game of Bingo just to get everyone in a party frame of mind, whilst glasses were filled with wine and the Canapés were served. From that point onwards a great afternoon was enjoyed by one and all. The meal was well appreciated as judged by all the empty plates that were returned to the kitchen. Music was later provided by The Two Blues Band, which I think is a reference to Manchester City Football Team. This was the signal for several couples and pairs of ladies to take to the floor to dance. The afternoon finished with a raffle  for which numerous prizes had been donated.

Father Paul finished the afternoon's proceedings by thanking all those who had attended and those that had made the event possible and such a resounding success.

A selection of photographs of the event is shown below:-
